Chiropractic Adjustments

A chiropractic adjustment is a joint manipulation or joint manipulation administered by a chiropractor to realign or restore proper range of motion in the body, most commonly in the spine, but also in the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hips, knee, and ankle.

Classically done by hand, although sometimes also with the aid of a “drop table” or a small instrument called an “activator”, a high velocity low amplitude controlled force or thrust is applied to the misaligned joint to improve motion, alignment, and to decrease nerve irritation & associated pain.
